Anyone who sees the 55-year-old is asked to call 999
Police say they are extremely concerned for the welfare of a missing man but have urged the public not to approach him.
Instead, anyone who sees Howard Higginson is asked to call 999 if they see him. The 55-year-old has been missing from his home in Leyland since early on Sunday morning and may have travelled to the Buckshaw Village area. In a public appeal, Lancashire Constabulary said Howard may appeared confused. Anyone with information is also asked to come forward.A spokesperson said: "He is missing from home and we are extremely concerned about him. He was last seen at 4am yesterday , though we believe he has been in the Buckshaw Village area since then.
"He is described as white, 6ft 2ins tall, of large build, with short, thin, closely-shaven mousey brown hair and green eyes. He has some stubble. He was last seen wearing blue jeans, a dark t-shirt, trainers and a dark, army-style utility belt with pouches/pockets. "He may appear confused and we are extremely concerned for his welfare. We would ask members of the public not to approach him and to call us straight away if they see him. You can call 999 with immediate sightings, or 101 with any other information, quoting log 723 of October 29th."
