Aldi has formally submitted plans for a new £4.7million store in Dumbarton - directly opposite the town’s Lidl.
A total of 86 percent of respondents confirmed they were supporting the plans for a new store, which chiefs say shows a high level of positive feedback. An Aldi spokesman said: “We are delighted to have submitted our proposals for a store in Dumbarton, marking the latest step in our project timeline to bring a first Aldi store to the area.
“We are looking forward to continuing our engagement with the local community over the coming weeks.”
