Paul O’Grady leaves £550k to Battersea Cats and Dogs Home in his will

TV and radio presenter Paul O’Grady has left a staggering amount of money, £550,000, to the Battersea Cats and Dogs Home in his will. O’Grady became an ambassador for the animal rescue charity in 2012 and his involvement with the charity continued until his death in March last year. The star also had a tribute fund set up in his honour, which raised over £480,000.

Paul O’Grady left a huge amount to the Battersea Cats and Dogs Home in his will. The TV and radio presenter, who died in March last year aged 67, became an ambassador for Battersea in 2012 after the success of ITV’s award-winning For The Love Of Dogs series. After O’Grady’s death, the animal charity also set up a ‘ tribute fund ’ in his honour which raised over £480,000. Now, a year on, it’s been revealed that the star left a staggering amount of money to the animal rescue charity – £550,000.

Of his £15.5 million will, £775,000 was set aside for causes and organisations close to his heart
