Police are appealing for witnesses
following a serious collision on the M1 northbound in Northamptonshire in the early hours of Sunday, September 17, which left a passenger with serious injuries.
The collision involving two cars happened at about 1.45am near the end of the entry slip road at junction 15. The vehicles were travelling north when a Mercedes C25AMG was in collision with the rear of a silver Mercedes E220. The Mercedes C25AMG left the carriageway and was in collision with a number of trees before catching fire. A passenger in the C25AMG was taken to hospital with serious injuries. The drivers of both vehicles sustained minor injuries.
The motorway was closed for several hours while emergency services dealt with the incident and collision investigators carried out initial investigations.Police are appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident or may have dash cam footage of the collision.
