Berggren is an infectious disease doctor at the UT Health San Antonio’s Long School of Medicine who's been a fixture on local newscasts during the COVID-19 pandemic. Meanwhile, Curiel — a nationally renowned cancer researcher — is the Daisy M. Skinner President’s Chair in Cancer Immunology Research at the same school.
With Curiel tapped for a prestigious new position at Dartmouth College, the pair have placed their 1930 Olmos Park residence on the market for just under $1.5 million. The four-bedroom, two-and-a-half-bath home hit the market under a week ago. The two-story, 3,400-square-foot residence is constructed of hand-chiseled stone, according to its property listing, and it features numerous Deco-era architectural features including arched doorways and rounded ceiling corners.
The home also shares a meditative backyard, porch and garden area with a 1,300-square-foot guest house, which is also two stories.
