San Antonio police are at the scene of a homicide in a North Side neighborhood on Friday morning.
Police said they initially received a call after 6 a.m. from a man saying he thought he hurt someone at his home in the 100 block of Englewood, not far from West Avenue.
The man called police again, this time saying he definitely hurt someone and that he “had found a stairway to heaven,” SAPD said. Officers arrived at the home and found one man on the floor in a pool of blood. It appeared the man had been stabbed to death, police said. A man in his 30s, who is believed to be the person who called 911, was taken into custody at the home. It is unclear what charges, if any, he is facing.The victim’s age and name have not been released, but police said he did not live at the house.San Antonio police investigate a homicide on Friday, Aug. 26, 2022, in the 100 block of Englewood Drive.
