Videos taken during a match appear to show supporters soil a rival team's dressing room
No action will be taken against a Nottingham Sunday league football team over a claim that fans had urinated and defecated in a rival team's changing room. The Nottinghamshire Football Association said it had brought charges against Clifton Mad Squad over their supporters' behaviour during a match at Carlton Town FC’s ground in Stoke Lane, Gedling on May 14.
Videos taken during the Empal Cup Final, in which Clifton lost 5-2 to Fanzine United, appeared to show some fans inside a changing room. One shows a man urinating over benches and players' possessions in the away facilities. The other showed a recording of a man squatting to defecate on what appears to be a massage bed. However, a spokesman for the Nottinghamshire FA said a regional FA panel found Clifton Mad Squad not guilty of the charge of failing to control spectators."We raised the charge for Failing to Control Spectators it went to a hearing and was found not guilty by a regional FA panel," he said.
Nottinghamshire Live has approached the FA for more details about the case. Nottinghamshire Police said they had not received any reports in relation to the incident.
