The Oscar winner, 59, went to extreme lengths to become Count Dracula in the comedy-horror “Renfield.”
The film’s makeup artist Christien Tinsley revealed that Cage trimmed his teeth and wore 3-d printed dentures for his vampire character.
In order to put the 3-d printing to good use, Tinsley had to scan Cage’s teeth and then digitally sculpt them so they could fit in his mouth perfectly.“It was a full head of prosthetics, dentures, full body, torso, arms, hands and nails,” Tinsley noted. “Those take time.” “Whatever scene we did he would still be 100% living in that attitude after we stopped shooting,” McKay said. “So if he’s a little frosty in the scene he’s going to have a little bit of that between takes. “Renfield” will be biting its way into theaters on April 14 and also stars Nicholas Hoult, Awkwafina, Ben Schwartz, Adrian Martinez and Shohreh Aghdashloo.
