A New Zealander has come under fire after he tried a British cheese then claimed it was "on par with accidentally ingesting a mouthful of moist dryer lint". Gregory Collins Winegar said the Wensleydale cheese was what was the "be-all and end-all" of dull cheese.
Group followers were quick to respond with some agreeing - while others defended the North Yorkshire cheese. Baron agreed saying: "Its a joke of a cheese, made for people who are afraid of taste." The term "Yorkshire Wensleydale" can only be used for cheese that is made in Wensleydale. It is usually white and crumbly but often comes in other flavours such as cranberry or apricot.
