PIP is worth between £26.90 and £172.75 each week for people with a disability or health condition
The Department for Work and Pensions has published five new online ‘easy-read’ guides to help people understand the complete process for making a new claim for Personal Independence Payment . Adult Disability Payment has replaced PIP for new claimants living in Scotland, however, the guides contain handy information that could act as a checklist for anyone making a new claim for the devolved payment.
The final guide, ‘Important things to know about your Personal Independence Payment decision’, includes abridged information on ‘How we decide if you can, or cannot, get Personal Independence Payment’ which is elaborated on in the April 2023 version of the PIP Handbook. This list is only an overview of conditions, disorders and diseases and how the DWP lists the main disabilities being claimed for.
