Magical Starlight Theatre will be holding auditions for its production of “Beauty and the Beast” from 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 7-8, at the Alfred Rubin Riverwalk Community Center, 305 W. Jackson Ave.
Roles are available for children in fourth grade or older as well as for adults. Actors should prepare a vocal piece and a monologue from the show based on the role for which they are auditioning. There also will be a cold reading from the script and a dance audition. ALMAS is partnering with the children’s museum as well as Naperville School District 203 and Indian Prairie School District 204.The discussion is part of the group’s mission to amplify the voice of the Latino community in Naperville and the surrounding area and to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month. About 6.7% of Naperville residents identify as Latino, the organization said.
