Mystery as human foot inside shoe washes up on beach
A FOOT inside a shoe was found by a passer-by after it washed up on a popular beach.1Petone Beach is a popular swimming spot for locals and tourists.
Detective Senior Sergeant Steve Williamson said while police were in the early stages of the investigation, it’s not being treated as a homicide. A land and water search of the area near where the foot was found has been carried out but nothing further was found. “Formal identification of the foot will take place in due course,” Detective Senior Sergeant Williamson said.told RNZ"We bring our kids down here. You're not sure if you're going to find the other one."
