Raami Mohamed and Kevell Blake deny the murder of Badri Issa
Two men accused of murder allegedly took a taxi from Manchester to Birmingham to visit a lawyer after the killing, a jury heard. Raami Mohamed, 21, and Kevell Blake, 20, have pleaded not guilty to the murder of Badri Issa.
There had been a 'background of hostility' between the pair following a row over a car, which Mr Mohamed had agreed to rent from a firm said to be linked to Mr Jeylaani. Jurors heard Mr Mohamed didn't pay the agreed sum and then said he was 'going to keep the car'. "The defendants did not hang around at the scene," prosecutor Richard Pratt KC said. He told the court the pair left in a car.
Jurors heard that the pair had returned to Manchester by just after 6pm. Mr Mohamed was arrested on suspicion of murder at 9.45pm that day.
