Valdo Calocane stabbed 19 year old students Barnaby Webber and Grace O'Malley-Kumar, and school caretaker Ian Coates, 65, to death in the early hours of June 13 last year.
The mums of two teenagers who were stabbed to death in Nottingham say they have "lost faith in the justice system" and feel like a statistic. Students Barnaby Webber and Grace O'Malley-Kumar, both aged 19, and well as school caretaker Ian Coates, 65, were killed by Valdo Calocane last year.
In an interview with The Times newspaper, Dr Sinead O'Malley-Kumar, 54, and Emma Webber, 51, expressed their disappointment with the justice system, saying that any evidence that didn't support the authorities' narrative about the attacks was ignored. Both mothers admitted that it's often too hard to look at photos of their children or see their friends because the pain is just too much. The Attorney General has called for an independent review of how the CPS dealt with the case. This comes after Prime Minister Rishi Sunak told the victims' families, "we will get the answers".
