KlaasKids Foundation will lead search weekend in East Contra Costa
The parents of a missing Oakley woman, 24-year-old Alexis Gabe, are asking the public to help in an active search for their daughter this weekend.
Gabe’s parents, Wyn and Rowena Gabe, have kept a low profile while their oldest son, Gwyn, and his girlfriend, Morgan Strenfel, led efforts to find Alexis and updated the community through a. On Wednesday, the couple broke their silence to ask for help in a video posted on that page. “We are asking you this is a huge favor,” a visibly distraught Rowena Gabe said. “Please join us. Please help us find our daughter Alexis.”
The parents also thanked their family and community members for “accomplishing so much” in the search for their daughter. Besides flyer distributions, the family and community have participated in a walk and vigil, food fundraisers and tied and posted black ribbons to raise awareness and money to continue search efforts. AThe Gabes thanked the Oakley Police Department too “for their hard work,” noting that they provide nearly daily updates to them.
