Three girls and a boy aged between 11 and 13 are believed to be responsible

Shocking pictures have been released by firefighters after "mindless" youths smashed up a school in Accrington.

The offenders had used a child's black sock to cover the CCTV camera and avoid detection. Fire bosses said the vandalism will cost the school "several thousand pounds" and has left the area "out of action for the children".Pictures shared on Facebook today show a cordon in place around the wooden hut containing benches. It also shows the charred remains of a section of the wooden floor strewn across the ground.
