The highest temperature was recorded in Castlederg, Co Tyrone , with the mercury rising to 20.3 C today, Thursday, May 2. Highs were experienced across the UK, with all four regions experiencing their warmest day of the year.
It's expected to be a fine end to the day on Thursday with some clear spells overnight. Low cloud could form around some Irish Sea costs later in the night, or a few fog patches in prone spots. A minimum overnight temperature of 9 C is to be expected.
