Friday night's 01/21/22 Mega Millions jackpot is worth $376 million, with a cash-value option worth $256.4 million.
The total jackpot could increase depending on the number of tickets sold around the country prior to the drawing.
There was no grand prize winner on Tuesday, but there were four tickets sold that matched the first five white balls, and minus the gold Mega Ball, for the game's second prize. Three of those second-prize tickets sold—one each in North Carolina, Pennsylvania and Texas—are worth $4 million apiece since they purchased the Megaplier for an extra $1. The other ticket, sold in Maryland, is worth $1 million because they didn't buy the Megaplier.
Mega Millions is one of two multi-state lottery games. Here are tickets from multiple states—Louisiana, Florida and Mississippi—bought in February and March. Mega Millions is played on Tuesdays and Fridays. The other multi-state lottery game is Powerball, which is played on Wednesdays and Saturdays.10/22/2021 — $108 million 02/16/2021 — $96 million The previous winning ticket before that was sold in Wisconsin on 09/15/20 for a jackpot worth $119 million.
