Lisandro Martinez given hero's reception as Man United fans unfurl controversial banner MUFC
World Cup winner Lisandro Martinez was given a hero’s reception at Old Trafford ahead of Manchester United’s win over Bournemouth.
While making his way onto the pitch, Martinez was given a standing ovation by the supporters, along with his United teammates who applauded him as he made his way onto the pitch. Fans held their controversial banner aloft which pays tribute to the centre-back, with a meat cleaver in the centre of an Argentine flag, a tribute to his nickname of ‘The Butcher’.
