The route has been launched for Euro 2024, taking place in Germany
The first Eurowings flight from Manchester to the German city of Stuttgart took off yesterday . The route has launched in preparation for this summer's European Championships, taking fans to Germany for the tournament.
Manchester Airport commercial director Stephen Turner said: “We are proud to serve the people of the North with an ever-growing range of over 200 destinations built around what travellers from the region want. The news of the new route comes after Manchester Airport had a record-breaking April. More than 2.4m passengers used the airport last month, up from 2.2m in 2023 and 25,000 more than the previous record in April 2019.
