He was stopped after he was spotted staggering in the street
Cops believed he was under the influence of alcohol or drugs and stopped him to ensure his safety.
At Glasgow Sheriff Court on Thursday, prosecutor Jennifer Sillars said: “Police applied handcuffs to the accused and whilst walking him to the vehicle, the accused lowered his leg and then wrapped his leg around police witness Sweeney’s leg in an attempt to make the officer lose his footing. “He can’t remember the comments he made to the police but he accepts responsibility. Nevertheless, he now faces court again.The defence solicitor revealed that his client’s bail order was a result of a breach of the peace in regard to his mum.
