A man driving a stolen U-Haul moving truck shot at a motorist and led police on a chase through east Houston on Thursday, Oct. 20.When officers tried stopping the truck, a chase ensued. The officers managed to spike the truck's tires, but the vehicle kept traveling east for more than an hour at slow speeds, Crowson said.
The box truck drove around the Richmond, Gessner and Westheimer areas until officers were able to stop the vehicle by boxing it in with several patrol cars. Officers broke out one of the truck's windows and after a few minutes, the driver exited the vehicle and was taken into custody.
