In the new StarWars: Visions comic starring the Ronin, the former Sith warrior meets a version of Mace Windu - one who survived Palpatine!

This post contains SPOILERS for Star Wars: Visions #1In Marvel's new Star Wars: Visions comic, the former Sith warrior known as the Ronin and his droid companion cross paths with Mace Windu, Master of the Jedi Order. However, it's also revealed in this alternate galaxy far, far away that Master Windu survived his encounter with Darth Sidious in Revenge of the Sith.
SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY Beginning as an animated anthology series on Disney+, Lucasfilm has been expanding Star Wars: Visions and its anime-styled stories into other mediums such as novels and comics. Likewise, a particular focus has been placed on the former Sith warrior known as The Ronin who starred in the episode entitled "The Duel".
Mace Windu's Star Wars Return Is Very Exciting While the old man never says he was a Jedi, the Ronin is smart enough to put the pieces together as the two eventually part ways. While they don't actually fight, readers are shown what their duel would have looked like with Windu handily defeating the former Sith in an epic lightsaber duel. Likewise, the Ronin clearly understands that he would have lost had he chosen to unsheathe his crimson blade.
Serving as a lighter mirror to the Ronin's path, it's very cool to see the former Jedi and Sith meeting as fellow travelers who part ways without incident. Neither warrior belongs to the factions they once did, and both carry new purposes in the present era where there's no need to be rivals. As the shogun version of Mace Windu says at the end of the comic: "This party's over, man", quoting the original Jedi Master from Attack of the Clones.
