Through the bar grapevine, he heard about Bar Basso. Mr. Basso at the time was pushing 80. So my father moved to Milano, bringing the experience he had achieved in the international hotel business. And his aim was to have a cocktail bar, just like the lounge of a big hotel, but on a street corner.
