Raleigh is set to close its Nottingham experience centre less than a year after it opened under cost-cutting plans by the company. It has already been reported that staff will be moving away fromParent company Accell said its plans were to ensure competitiveness "in what is a challenging market". As part of those plans, Nottinghamshire Live now understands Raleigh's experience centre on Maid Marian Way will be closing.
No timeframe has been drawn up and it is also unclear when the move away from Eastwood will take place. But Accell has stressed that a headquarters will still be maintained "in the Nottingham area."models, with the hub having officially opened on December 3 last year. The opening at the time marked Raleigh's return to the city centre, with the company having moved to Eastwood from its Triumph Road factory in Lenton.
A spokesperson for Accell said: "To ensure Accell UK remains competitive in what is a challenging market, we have recently concluded a detailed review of the business, aimed at helping to position Accell for sustainable growth in the UK and internationally.
