A new John Lennon biopic movie is rumored to be in development, rumored to be directed by Craig Gillespie.
says that a new casting call has gone out for “a caucasian actor in his early to mid-30s with the ability to sing, have moderate experience in playing the guitar, and be fine with nudity.”
“The film would focus on the immediate period after the Beatles breakup, tackling Lennon’s solo career and his relationship with Yoko Ono,” according to the source. Ono is a consultant and a producer, with Craig Gillespie attached as a director.This has not been officially confirmed yet. However, the 2009 movie Nowhere Boy stars Aaron Taylor-Johnson as the famous Beatle.Jonathan Sim is a film critic and filmmaker born and raised in New York City.
