Piroe was back among the goals on Saturday as Leeds continued their fine form.
Leeds united forward Joël Piroe is keen for his side to carry on their rich vein of form after the international break, following impressive wins over Huddersfield Town, Leicester City and Plymouth Argyle.
The pace and directness of Summerville’s game is quickly becoming one of the biggest threats in the division and this time was no different; marauding his way into the box before finding the overlapping Piroe to stab home under Argyle keeper Michael Cooper. Daniel Farke’s side looked well on their way to picking up a routine three points without incident, but as chance after chance came and went for the hosts, it was the visitors who grabbed themselves a lifeline late on courtesy of Ben Waine’s close-range strike.
“We still created enough good chances and we should have just converted them and it would have been an easy afternoon. We let ourselves down with that, but we showed our mentality and just kept going. In a game, you always have one chance at least. They scored out of it and stayed in the game by us not finishing them really. We should have just scored; it is very simple!
