Manchester City winger Jeremy Doku has spoken out about his controversial chest-high last-minute challenge on Liverpool's Alexis Mac Allister during the two Premier League title rivals' clash earlier this month.
Referee Michael Oliver didn't call it a foul on-field and a VAR check also decided not to penalise Doku. "No, it was a risky challenge. I could have handled it differently. I still think it wasn't a penalty but I know some other referees would have given it. But it wasn't a penalty so I was happy."For me, it wasn't a penalty, but I understand why some people are angry and why the Liverpool fans think it was a penalty."
