TV favourite Jane McDonald has opened her heart about the profound loss she has felt over the years after mourning three significant figures in her life that viewers often hear her reflect on in her popular Channel 5 travel show.
In an emotional episode touring the Inner Hebrides, Jane spoke directly to the camera, affectionately recounting how her dad taught her how to dance. Through times of bereavement, the singer and presenter has often spoken about the driving force her mum was behind her pursuit of a singing career. Although Jane found fame in the 90s, Jane continued to live at home with her mother until she was 45.
Speaking to the DailyMail last year, the 61 year old reflected on her fiance's death as she revealed he hadn't had symptoms."Nobody else was. But that was the hardest thing. I had no nurses or doctors come in. I had to learn how to do it all myself. I had him at home as long as I could."
