Should you keep your windows open or closed in hot weather as heatwave hits?
As the UK braces for unprecedented temperatures, people across the country are eager to know how they can keep their homes cool. Temperatures could top a record-breaking 40C on Monday and Tuesday in some places, according to forecasters at the Met Office.
It may seem wise to open up the windows in your house to let a breeze through your home. But experts have suggested it may be better to have them shut, at least while the sun is shining. For hay fever sufferers, having your windows closed during the day will also help to keep the pollen out of your home and could alleviate your symptoms.
