People have been visiting the farm animals for more than four decades
Between County Road and Walton Vale you’ll find Rice Lane, a place that many people know of or have passed through over the years.
Open 365 days a year, even on Christmas day, the farm is mainly volunteer run and relies on donations or grants for funding. Farm manager, Lucy Stevenson, started off as a volunteer but "jumped at the chance" to take up the position on a part time basis. The hope is for the farm to get two miniature cows and a pony soon. There is also a classroom which hosts free activities for children running alongside wildlife conservation, organic gardening, horticulture and more.
"I have people telling me they used to come when they were kids and now they bring their children or grandchildren. It's nice to see it still going and thriving after all these years."
