Mandy Dingle has a big decision to make in Emmerdale as her ex-husband, Paddy Kirk, pops the question for the second time - but will she say 'yes' after their very long history?
Emmerdale favourites Paddy Kirk and Mandy Dingle could be hearing the sound of wedding bells soon as Paddy is set to propose in the episode airing on Wednesday 27 March.
First Meeting and Affair Mandy was determined to get to know her new neighbour, but her cousin, Butch Dingle overheard Paddy bad-mouthing the Dingles and banished him from the house. Paddy was then offered a job in Ireland and left, but returned not long after. Paddy’s mum, Barbara Kirk , wanted to keep Mandy away from her son - so paid Mandy to marry her cousin, Butch!Following her divorce from Butch, Mandy and Paddy tied the knot in 1999.
Mandy was heartbroken to see Paddy had moved on and left again, their pair divorced in 2001. During Mandy’s years away from the village, Paddy went on to marry and divorce both Emily and Rhona Goskirk . Paddy and Chas' marriage then broke down as Chas started an affair with Al Chapman - who also later died after being shot by Kyle Winchester . Mandy was Paddy’s main support as the affair was revealed and the pair began to get close again - they reunited in June 2023.
In the episode on Monday 25 March, Mandy planted a snog on Dr Liam Cavanagh to equal out the betrayal. She then sat back down with Paddy in the Woolpack and said: “There you go, fresh start - how do you feel about that?”
