With another actor having just left the lead role of Death in Paradise, OK! looks at the off-screen life of Ben Miller, the very first detective on the hit BBC series
Ben Miller, known for his role in the BBC crime drama Death in Paradise, has had quite an interesting life off-screen. The 57-year-old actor and comedian left his studies at Cambridge to pursue a career in comedy, which turned out to be a great decision.
Ben and Jessica tied the knot in 2013 and have two children together; son Harrison, born in 2011, and daughter Lana, born in 2015. This wasn't his only marriage - he was previously married to actress Belinda Stewart-Wilson whom he met while filming Primeval. They got married in 2004 but divorced in 2011.
Speaking to The Guardian in 2008, he recalled: "I went up to this girl once and said 'Happy New Year! ' and kissed her, and even though it was February she didn't slap me. In fact, we dated and she was lovely. Rachel Weisz went on to be a Hollywood star and it nourishes the soul to think that good people can still make it."
