Aldi had teased the release of its wooden toy collection for weeks before they were finally released to stores on Thursday morning
However, since having my son almost two years ago I have tried to make more of an effort to stop leaving things until the last minute, so with this in mind, I headed to my local Aldi store on Thursday morning. I'm not the type of person who gets to a store just as it opens, but yesterday I became that person.
This aside, I did the nursery drop off and headed to my local Aldi store hoping to get my hands on its wooden kitchen, toy safari truck and the aeroplane runway. I got to the store about five minutes before it opened at 8am and straight away I saw people waiting outside. The toy kitchens seemed to be the item everyone wanted to get, but annoyingly was the item which wasn't well stocked at all. Now, full disclaimer I'm not sure whether the stock was being staggered, but at Aldi's Bootle store there were only around five, at most seven kitchens available and there was no immediate restock while I was there.
As I was looking for the aeroplane runway, I heard about six other customers asking staff where the kitchens were. I didn't hear the response, but like I mentioned earlier no more were put out while I was in the store, and there was no indication, that I heard, that more would be coming either.
