As someone who’s been shafted by the Conservatives’ Lifetime Isa product, I have a word of advice – don’t touch these poisoned promises with a barge pole. Why should anyone trust the Conservatives on housing after 13 years of housing policy failure and worsening outcomes? Due to rampant house price inflation, stoked by government policy, I cannot now use my Lifetime Isa savings for the very purpose the product was designed and advertised for – helping young people to buy their first home.
