It's a wet one out there
Greater Manchester is waking up to downpours with the region hit by a Met Office weather warning. A yellow warning for rain came into effect at 9pm yesterday and runs until 8pm tonight .
And the morning's weather is certainly living up to expectations. Heavy rain has battered the region so far this morning, and forecasters are expecting it to continue for a few hours. Drivers are warned to expect difficult driving conditions while the rain pours, while some flooding is possible in areas covered by the warning, according to the Met Office. However, conditions should improve this afternoon. In Manchester, the rain is expected to stop by 2pm, until a light shower at night. Other areas of Greater Manchester could see dry weather earlier in the day too. Here is a full forecast for Greater Manchester, borough-by-borough.
