Travel expert Nicky Kelvin visited London City Airport to find out how quick their security really is. With state of the art machines Kelvin was able to get through security in under three minutes.

The technology slashes waiting times by allowing passengers to leave laptops and liquids in carry-on baggage. It will also allow travellers to pack larger quantities, effectively ending the 100ml liquid restrictions. Paul Charles, head of travel consultancy The PC Agency, said British airports remained 'some distance behind' overseas counterparts.
London City Airport, the country's 15th busiest, is the only one known to have installed the new scanners .
