It will be closed for a short time for the rebrand
A Co-op store will be closing later this month after a takeover by Tesco. The shop in Bramcote Lane, Wollaton, is set to shut on October 28. After a rebrand it is expected to reopen around November 6.
The company said it continues to invest in new stores and regenerate the existing estate, opening four new stores so far this year and investing over £20m in new stores and regeneration projects. Staff have been reassured that they will be offered employment with Tesco, while customers who still want to shop at Co-op have alternative stores "within close proximity".
