Giants left tackle Andrew Thomas might play Sunday.
Thomas hasn’t played since Week 1, due to a hamstring injury that he then tweaked while practicing before the Week 4 loss to Seattle.
Thomas is listed as questionable for Sunday in Las Vegas. During Friday’s practice, he participated in more team periods action than he has since he got hurt.“Right now, it feels fine,” he said. “If anything, I was more worried about making sure how my technique is, because it’s been so long since I’ve done that stuff. So I was more focused on that , which is a good sign.”
The Giants’ struggling offense badly needs Thomas. There’s also a chance that right tackle Evan Neal returns Sunday after missing the past two games. If Thomas and Neal return, they would obviously bookend the Giants’ offensive line, and John Michael Schmitz would continue to play center. Schmitz returned last week from a shoulder injury. Thomas’ return would let coach Brian Daboll pick from the trio of Ben Bredeson, Justin Pugh , and Mark Glowinski for the two starting guard spots.
