According to sources within the Las Vegas Raiders organization, Aidan O'Connell will be the starting quarterback against the New York Giants.
Following the firings of General Manager Dave Ziegler, Coach Josh McDaniels, and Offensive Coordinator Mick Lombardi, the Las Vegas Raiders have decided to make a change at quarterback.
Both Hoyer and Garoppolo struggled in their respective starts the last two weeks. Hoyer threw for 129 yards, no touchdowns, and two interceptions against the Bears. One of his interceptions was returned for a touchdown. Hoyer finished the game with a 37.1 quarterback rating.
