Comments attacking the UAW returned to haunt a dealership employee after union members demanded he be fired
, tensions are running high and nearly everyone has an opinion about the union. The latter reportedly cost one dealership employee his job as they attacked the UAW on Facebook.
, an employee at Michigan’s Suburban Ford of Ferndale made several disparaging remarks on a “Facebook page geared for UAW members to talk about contract negotiations.” These reportedly included “F*ck the UAW” and “… they want to work 32 hours, but get paid for 40 hours?”, so depending on how bad this gets, it could affect me.” Screenshots of the comments started circulating and the publication reports the employee was “let go” for violating their social media policy.
