Fire services in the south west of England have issued advice on how to keep safe over the weekend.
In the past decade across the South West, more than 40 people have needed treatment for injuries relating to fireworks
The Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents advises that the safest place to enjoy fireworks is at a large public display as the risk of being injured is much lower than at smaller family or private parties.
