It has already been fiercely opposed by campaigners including the Victorian Society, but today Britain's premier heritage organisation also said it will formally reject the 'grossly disproportionate' plans. Sellar says its proposals involve more than £1.5 billion of private investment, including £450 million to double the size of the station concourse and add more lifts and escalators.
