Featherstone chairman Martin Campbell says he will step down from his position on the board of directors once the problems are solved

have deepened with allegations of players not having their pensions paid into, more debts and of supporters not receiving merchandise they have paid for.that a large group of players and staff are chasing Rovers for money they are allegedly owed by the Championship club, some for wages outstanding from more than a year ago.understands that Featherstone also have other money problems that involve more people, fans and allegedly another club.

“We did speculate on the back of significant investment from myself and Steven Clough , unprecedented commercial investment in the club brought in by Martin Vickers but unfortunately that investment was unsuccessful. “It was also the same for players dated back to August 2022. We have spoken to the pension company who confirmed we’ve never received any money yet, monthly it was out of our wages.“When I spoke to the pension people, they apparently have flagged it as I wasn’t the first call. Apparently they’ve sent letters but, it hasn’t been taken further yet and I’m unsure how.”A different player, who also played for the Championship team in 2023, confirmed he has also not received his pension money.

Another former Featherstone player said he has initiated legal action against the club, in a bid to retrieve the money he is allegedly owed.understands the second division side also owe money to an agent, who is seeking payment of £7,500.“That information is correct, the club will continue to prioritise delayed player payments before agents are paid,” he said.
