A family and community in Co Down has been hit by a second tragedy after a ‘very talented’ GAA player died suddenly in Australia six years after the death of his brother.The young man’s family have been hit with the loss of a second brother and son, following the passing of 23-year-old Peárce from a cardiac incident in June 2018.As was his brother, Lorcán was a talented GAA player for his local club Clonduff and played both hurling and Gaelic football for the Co Down team.
“A very talented dual player for our club, Lorcán left for a winter in Australia in November 2023 and was due to return home for club playing duty in the coming weeks. She said: “Lorcán truly lived his life to the fullest. Losing our brother Peárce in 2018 was a difficult time for our entire family circle - but especially for our Lorcán.
