£75 supermarket vouchers are being offered to young families to help with essential costs via the Household Support Fund
Benefits increased this month, and according to the Office for National Statistics, inflation is slowing. But many families are still struggling with the everyday cost of living.A scheme funded by the Department for Work and Pensions, the HSF was launched in 2021. It provides money to local councils to help those most in need in their area.
The HSF was due to end in March this year but was recently extended, and is now due to finish at the end of September 2024. £75 supermarket vouchers for young families Herefordshire Council has announced that it’s offering one-off £75 supermarket vouchers for parents with children under the age of five. But this is just one example of councils helping families, similar schemes are happening across the country. To find out exactly what’s available in your area, contact your local council.
In addition to the £75 support, food vouchers will also be made available for parents during the school holidays. The vouchers are available for all children eligible for free school meals and start at £15 per week, per child.Am I eligible?
