On October 2, the Los Angeles Ethics Commission announced that there was “probable cause” to believe that 12th District Councilmember Lee accepted gifts in excess of the gift limit for city officials in 2016 and 2017, failed to report the gifts, misused his position, and aided and abetted According to Oberstein, her candidacy received support from members of the Granada Hills South Neighborhood Council; Renay Grace Rodriguez, the treasurer of the Chatsworth Porter Ranch Chamber of Commerce; and San Fernando Valley Young Democrats president emeritus Michael Menjivar, among others.
