The courier service is making major changes to their operations ahead of peak shopping season in order to better help customers.
The delivery service has said it is making a £46 million investment to boost customer service and operations, with the funding going towards things including a new automatic call-back service, through a new phone line, to help customers regarding any issues with orders.
Evri is also hiring more than 6,500 colleagues to help fulfil orders as well as to deal with customers during the peak season between Black Friday and Christmas. Chris Ashworth, chief customer officer at Evri, said: “Over the last five years we have tripled the size of our business to become the UK’s leading dedicated parcel delivery company, handling a staggering 730 million parcels each year.
“We have made significant progress as a business this year, with a renewed focus on service delivery standards.
