Nurse Catherine Hudson was jailed for seven years and two months, with junior colleague, Charlotte Wilmot, sentenced to three years.
A woman has told how she was robbed of her mother by the actions of an "inhumane" nurse who unlawfully drugged patients on a stroke unit for an "easy shift".
Janet's daughter Susan Millar told how her mother initially seemed to be recovering well but her health rapidly deteriorated during her stay in hospital. Hudson was convicted of illegally sedating two patients and conspiring with a junior colleague, Charlotte Wilmot, 49, to sedate Janet. Wilmot was sentenced to three years.
She said: "I wondered why my mum was so anxious and screaming and seeing things that she shouldn't have been like the Devil and spiders crawling up the wall. Ms Millar added: "When I spoke to the police I told them what had happened to my mum, what drugs were given to her, what they had done to her.
