A recent Escape to the Country episode saw a couple left disappointed after finding their 'dream home', only for them to discover a huge problem with the property
A recent episode of Escape to the Country saw empty nesters Jackie and Michael looking to relocate from their current home in St Albans, Hertfordshire to the beautiful scenery of Cornwall. And while they thought they had found their 'dream home' they sadly left disappointed.
"I'm just slightly surprised because it seems much grander than anywhere I picture myself so that's quite a weird sensation - it feels above my station. I hadn't expected to come across a very fine Georgian building, it's very grand. The property came with half an acre of garden and planning permission for a double garage with a studio above. However, Jackie spotted a potential issue, telling Michael: "It might be yours but it's far too nice to keep chickens in!"
